Terms of Use

Last updated 2 October 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Playpen Studios for use of Thoughts To Do. Using the app means accepting them.

The subscription

  • Thoughts To Do is sold as an auto-renewing subscription, billed monthly or yearly, through the App Store or Google Play depending on where you installed it.
  • New subscribers get a 7-day free trial. Nothing is charged during it. One trial per Apple Account or Google account.
  • When the trial ends, the subscription renews automatically at the price shown in the app for your country (in the United States, US$3.99 a month or US$24.99 a year), and again at the end of each period after that.
  • Your Apple Account or Google Play account is charged when the trial ends and at each renewal.
  • Cancel any time: on iPhone in Settings › your name › Subscriptions, at least 24 hours before the period ends; on Android in Google Play › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next charge; you keep access until the period you have paid for runs out.
  • Prices can change. The store asks for your agreement before charging a higher price, and you can decline by cancelling.

Refunds

Purchases are handled by Apple or Google, so refunds are too. We cannot issue one ourselves. On the App Store, request one at reportaproblem.apple.com; on Google Play, from your order history. If something went wrong with the app itself, tell us anyway: support.

Your journal is yours

You keep every right in what you write. You give us only the permission needed to run the app for you: to store your pages, and to pass them to the services listed in the privacy policy so they can be transcribed, read and turned into to-dos. We do not use your journal to train models, sell it, or show it to anyone else.

What the app does with what you write

The app uses a language model to transcribe voice notes, read photographed notes, and pull to-dos out of a page. Models make mistakes: a transcript can be wrong, a handwritten note can be misread, and a to-do can be a misreading. Check anything that matters. Nothing in the app is advice, whether medical, legal, financial or otherwise, and it should not be relied on as a record of what you said or wrote.

Fair use

Don't use the app to break the law, don't try to break into it or into anyone else's account, and don't attempt to resell, scrape, or automate it. Accounts doing any of that can be closed.

Availability

The app depends on services we don't control, and parts of it need a network connection. We do our best to keep it running and to keep your data safe, but the app is provided "as is", without a warranty that it will always be available or always be right. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.

Ending it

You can stop at any time: cancel the subscription, and delete your account from inside the app if you want the data gone as well. We may close an account that breaks these terms, and will refund any unused part of a paid month through the store if we do.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim connected with the app is limited to what you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Apple and Google

Google is not a party to this agreement and is not responsible for the app or its content.

Apple is not a party to this agreement and is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide support for it. If the app fails to conform to a warranty, you may tell Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price; beyond that, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
