Blocktide Privacy Policy

Last updated 11 October 2026. Covers the Blocktide app on iPhone, iPad and Android.

Blocktide doesn't ask you to create an account, and doesn't ask for your name, email address, phone number or contacts. Your scores, streak and settings are stored on your device. The only exception is a score you choose to send to a leaderboard, described below.

What is collected

Gameplay analytics (Google Firebase Analytics). Anonymous events about how the game is used, such as games started and finished, scores, whether the tutorial was completed and which buttons were pressed. They carry a random identifier for the app install, not your identity.

Crash reports (Google Firebase Crashlytics). If the game crashes, a report with the error, your device model and OS version is sent so we can fix it.

Leaderboards and achievements (Apple Game Center, Google Play Games). If you're signed in to Game Center on iOS or Google Play Games on Android, your scores and achievements are sent to Apple or Google under your player profile so they can appear on leaderboards. That profile, meaning your player ID and the name you chose, belongs to your Apple or Google account and is covered by their privacy policies. Blocktide never receives your email address or account details. Our analytics only record whether signing in, sending a score or unlocking an achievement worked, not who you are. Signing in is optional. The game works fully without it, and you can sign out in Game Center settings on iOS or in the Google Play Games app on Android.

Advertising: none. This version of Blocktide has no advertising and no advertising SDK, and doesn't use your device's advertising identifier. Nothing about you is used for tracking, and the app never asks for permission to track you.

What is not collected

No name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, precise location or health data. You can play the whole game offline.

Children

Blocktide is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.

Your choices

  • Deleting the app deletes every score, streak and setting stored on your device. There's no account on a server to delete, because there's no account.
  • Settings → Reset all progress clears the same data without uninstalling.

Third parties

Google Firebase and Google Play Games, and Apple Game Center on iOS. See Apple's and Google's privacy policies.
